The Cita Dennis Hubbell Branch is New Orleans' oldest public library, a Carnegie library built in 1907. It has weathered three major, deadly hurricanes—and numerous smaller ones—with barely a scratch. It did not flood after Hurricane Katrina; it's above sea level.
